Principal's message The San Jose Police Department has a new community outreach effort called Coffee with a Cop. These community meetings make local connections with the SJPD officers. For Sgt. Donohue, coffee was not enough.

Principal's message Each year the K. Smith School staff helps about 25 families with a staff Giving Tree. Our health clerk, Maggie Rodriguez, works to identify what each person in the family would like for Christmas. The staff then shops and wraps those gifts bringing a little joy to those who need some extra support.

I have the courage to do the "right" thing. The Courage Tool is the last of the 12 Tools. Courage comes from the Latin cor meaning "heart" and the Courage Tool is about speaking the truth of what is in your heart and standing up for what you believe.
