After School Care

Tom Matsumoto Elementary is proud to offer two on-site after-school programs that provide students with a safe, engaging, and enriching environment after the school day ends. Both programs offer supervised care, homework support, recreational activities, and opportunities for students to build friendships and develop new skills. Families should register directly with the program provider, as registration is not available through the school office.

Right At School (RAS)

Recreation of City Kids (R.O.C.K.)

The City of San Jose's after school program, called Recreation of City Kids (R.O.C.K.), is conveniently located at our school campus. This after school program offers enrichment, healthy recreation, developmental classes, homework assistance, safety and fun after school care for students.

San Jose Parks, Recreation, & Neighborhood Services

Days: Monday – Friday, except school holidays, breaks, and in-service days.
Hours: From dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Registration:

To start, create an account with R.O.C.K. at Recreation of City Kids.
Then, go to Recreation of City Kids - Registration, scroll down, and select the correct school to begin registration.

Additional Information:

Program is only available when school is in session. For all school holidays or teacher in-service days, the R.O.C.K program will be closed.
The program is open on all minimum days, including those occurring during parent-teacher conference week.
Registration is not accepted at the school office.
Limited scholarships are available for students who receive free or reduced lunch. Documentation is required to qualify for the scholarship.

Right At School (RAS)

Right At School (RAS) is Evergreen School District's after-school care partner. The program provides a safe and welcoming environment where students participate in homework support, hands-on enrichment activities, physical fitness, creative play, and social-emotional learning. Flexible scheduling options are available to meet the needs of families, including part-time and full-time care. Registration, program information, and pricing are available through Right At School. Scholarships may be available for eligible families.
